This course is the entry point for the MCI cantor education program. It is available at no charge to any member of the Byzantine (Ruthenian) Catholic Church.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe and explain the role of a cantor.
- List the skills a cantor must have (knowledge, repertoire, leadership).
- Summarize the rules of cantor etiquette.
- Decide whether to become a cantor, and know what to do next to continue in the MCI program.
This course has no prerequisites, and should take 2-4 hours to complete.
To enroll in this class, create a Moodle user name (if you don’t already have one) and log in to Moodle. Click on the course name and enroll yourself. Follow the course steps to completion.
