Menaion

May 13

The holy martyr Glyceria at Heraclea in Thrace. She was the daughter of a governor of Rome. After her father’s death left her in poverty, she went to live in Thrace. She was dragged before the local authorities and told to worship the idols. She refused, and was cast into prison. Eventually she was thrown to the lions and gave her life. (141)
